I applied a lot of this seed! Love the story; however, the print was a bit too small for me and I strained my eyes even with my reading glasses on. It would be poetic for me to say that I thought of this book when I began working with horses myself, and remembered to use Sewell's gentle and friendly approach. Hopefully it fills in properly.
I remember the day that I brought it in to show to my teacher, Miss Gerardi. Plus, people eat the animals they love. The areas were both full sun and mostly shade, Black Beauty did equally well in both. They chase a hare away and back again, following it even though they have to leap over a tall fence. Areas that were completely bare are now filled in.
Personally I think that to relief an animal of useless pain could be better but only slightly - as whether or not they Black Beauty stunned, animals will lose their lives anyway.
